LOADENTHAL  -  VENTNOR REPUBLICAN CLUB HONOREE

Sonia Loadenthal, President, Ventnor Republican Club, was chosen as the first recipient of the “Ventnor Republican of the Year” award. Sonny  served as Past President in the 1990’s and was willing to step in again last year. She is the “heart and soul” of the club according to members.

At a dinner at the Sage restaurant in Ventnor on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 more than 40 guests and friends enjoyed delicious tilapia, chicken, and pasta while Freeholder Joe McDevitt presented certificates of recognition from Congressman Frank LoBiondo and County Executive Dennis Levinson. Ventnor Mayor Theresa Kelly presented gifts certificates from the club and friends.

Attending the dinner were Assemblymen John Amodeo and Vince Polistina, Freeholder Frank Giordano, Republican County Chairman Keith Davis, newly elected Atlantic County Sheriff Frank Balles, Frank Formica, a Ventnor Club friend and sponsor, First Lady of Radio Barbara Altman and 35 club members.

Also, Assemblyman Rick Merat, Republican candidate for Governor, joined the celebration.

Sonny’s  speech opened with a “thank you” and closed with “thank you” as she kept it brief to the pleasure of all attendees.
