Today Congressman Frank LoBiondo endorsed the candidacy of Gary Schaffer for Cape May County Sheriff. 

“Cape May County needs a strong leader in the Sheriff’s office, and that leader is Gary Schaffer,” LoBiondo said.  

Schaffer has been involved in Cape May County Law Enforcement for 35 years.  He worked for the Ocean City Police Department as police officer, supervisor, and administrator and currently serves as the Director of the Cape May County Public Safety Training Center.  He has trained the many officers that protect our communities in Cape May County every day.

He has received the endorsements of the NJ State Police Benevolent Association, Cape May County PBA Local #59, the Ocean City PBA Local #61 and the Cape/Atlantic County PBA Conference.  He has received numerous other endorsements from Cape May County Chiefs of Police and Retired Chiefs of Police and recently received the endorsement of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFSCME Local # 3596 and District Council #71. 

LoBiondo continued, “Schaffer’s credentials are unmatched.  He is clearly the superior choice in this election.  Gary provides a unique working relationship with law enforcement professionals throughout the county.  Gary Schaffer will continue his good work for Cape May County as Sheriff.”
