Subject: Save Longport- Don't Re-Elect Stroebele!!!!!
This is a message to all Longport voters- don't re-elect
John Stroebele. Don't believe his propaganda- his words are
without worth, a fake smile only to get your vote and deny
he ever said them once he's in office. Typical "politricks". So
much for last campaign's promise of a city
administrator, improving the main departments of the city or
serving only one term. These promises didn't fit his
personal agenda or non-progressive ways. Since I'm sure he's
been telling you all the wonderful things he's done, let me
shine a little light on the not so wonderful: firing
residents yet giving jobs to his family and friends;
harassed employees and caused animosity among them; broke
contractual agreements he personally signed with the Beach
Patrol and Police Department; wasted tens of thousands of
dollars in lawsuits and back pay ( how many lawyers does the
Borough really need? who would use a personal injury lawyer
to deal with labor issues????); commandeered a Beach Patrol
vehicle from trained personnel so he could instead respond
to the emergency; cuts services and benefits without trying
to raise funds or use alternative methods to keep them in
place;left Police understaffed, knowingly left beaches
unprotected with local and visiting swimmers in the water;
and he's a Flemington, NJ local, not Longport (wonder why he
doesn't run there....?)....Longport deserves leadership that
wants to do what is right for the public, not one that will
spend whatever it takes to prove they are right. Listen to
the employees- they know whats really going on in Borough
Hall. Don't think about this election as just the next four
years- think about it as the direction the city should be
heading- into the future. Now is the time for progression
and innovation on the local level, leading the way for other
communities. Stroebele may have saved the city a tiny bit of
money cutting the quantity and quality of services, but in
the long run he'll cost the city alot more. This election
day, think of everyone who comes and enjoys Longport- keep
them safe- don't re-elect!
Sincerely,
Joseph J. Walsh
