at 4:30 PM
On Tuesday, July 8th
at 4:30 PM, a contingent of Atlantic City Council
Members, School Board Members, Mayor Lorenzo
Langford, Members of the Stanley Holmes Village
Tenants Association, Atlantic City Housing Authority
Board Members and Executives, members of the Casino
Reinvestment Development Authority, members of the
Clergy, and a representative from the Atlantic City
Police Department, will all be in attendance at a
“Walk-Through” of the Stanley Holmes Village
residences.
Warren Massey, an
organizer of the event said, “we are determined to
bring awareness to the deplorable living and other
conditions presently existing within the Stanley
Holmes Village”.
Massey also said,
“We have significant concerns where it relates to
the future of the Stanley Holmes Village and its
residents”.
“The residents and
other concerned individuals firmly believe that
there is a specific agenda to permit the Stanley
Holmes Village residences to deteriorate to the
point where certain public officials will then move
to tear it down and displace more than 455 families
or at least 2000 residents of Atlantic City”, said
Massey.
“We urge all members
of the media to report on the truth and dilapidated
living conditions presently being experienced by the
residents of Stanley Holmes Village”, concluded
Massey.
