Subject: Ventnor Commissioners Are on Notice

 

Ventnor City's present Commissioners, Tim Kreischer, Charles Vespertino and Joseph Schafer are herewith put on notice that they will each be held personally responsible and financially liable for any action they make take, or allow to be taken, in their last days in office that may be unlawful or irregular in any way and that may adversely affect the interests of the taxpayers of Ventnor City.  This includes but is not limited to: no-bid contracts or engagements for goods and/or services that are not true emergencies and do not otherwise qualify for by-passing the bid process; by-passing the permit process; giving away city-owned property (as in donating real estate to a developer); paying third parties without full documentation, authorization and justification as required by law (see deficiencies listed in 2007 Audit Report), or otherwise misusing or abusing their powers of office.

This notice is issued by me as a private citizen concerned for the welfare of Ventnor City and well acquainted with past irregularities during its current governance.
