County Executive Dennis
Levinson Endorses Incumbents for Ventnor Election
Ventnor City, NJ. –
Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson endorsed the
incumbent Kreischer Schafer Vespertino ticket for the
Ventnor Commission election on May 13th. “I am
proud to endorse Mayor Kreischer and Commissioners Schafer
and Vespertino in their re-election campaign”, said
Levinson. “We need to re-elect more dedicated officials like
them to use their vast experience to run government in a
smart, efficient manner,” said Levinson.
“I am very honored to have
the County Executive’s support,” said Mayor Tim Kreischer.
“We try to run a fiscally responsible government and are
especially proud of our efforts to reduce the amount of
money raised by municipal taxes this year just like Dennis
Levinson’s leadership has produced at Atlantic County
Government”, Kreischer said.
“To have a public official
with the stature of Dennis Levinson endorse our re-election
is exciting” said Commissioner Joe Schafer. “We have tried
to follow his leadership in reducing our municipal debt on a
yearly basis and Dennis has helped us whenever we asked for
assistance” Schafer said.
“As County Executive,
Denny has improved Atlantic County’s infrastructure while
reducing the tax rate, a policy we have tried to follow here
in Ventnor”, said Commissioner Sandy Vespertino. “We are
proud of our efforts to hold the line on taxes and spending
while continuing our high standard of resident services,
just like county government does”, Vespertino said.
“These men are bright and
dedicated to their public work, many times taking the time
from their personal lives”, said Levinson. They can get a
bit testy at times, but their love of Ventnor City and its
citizens can never be questioned. They’ve done a fine job
and deserved to be returned”, Levinson said.
Ventnor City has a
non-partisan election every four years in May where the
three candidates that receive the most votes are elected
Commissioner. The three commissioners then meet and elect
one of their number Mayor by majority ballot. |
