Sgt. Greg DePiano Honored 
at  9th Annual "Toys for Kids Christmas in July" Block Party.

 

Sgt. Greg DePiano, of the Atlantic County Toys for Kids Organization, was honored on Sunday, July 13, during this year’s annual event.

 

The highlight of the afternoon was a surprise presentation to Sgt. DePiano from the officers and executive board of the organization.  Making the presentation were Michelle Riordan, Alex Mercado, Atlantic County Freeholder Alisa Cooper, Beth Epstein and Joan DePiano.

 

DePiano received a plaque in honor of his 20 years of service and dedication to the organization. This year’s event collected 7 truckloads of toys and had the largest attendance ever with an estimated crowd of over 1,000 visitors.

 

The event has now grown into an annual, summer block party with an extensive list of sponsors, donors and community organizations helping out and volunteering to insure it’s success.
