Christmas in July”
Announces Huge List of Prizes and
Sponsors
Sgt. Greg DePiano and Michele Riordan,
co-chairmen of the “9th Annual Toys for Kids -
Christmas in July” - today announced the largest
list of sponsors and prizes in the event’s
history.
“The entire community has just been unbelievable
in their generosity. Next Sunday’s event will
definitely be the most successful in our
history,” said Sgt. Greg DePiano. “People and
businesses are calling us every day to make
contributions of food and beverages, door prizes
and gifts. This year’s response is overwhelming
--- the door prizes alone are valued at over
$4,000.00.”
The event, scheduled for Sunday, July 13, from
12 noon to 5:00 PM, will be held on Wabash
Avenue and Davis Avenue along the Bike Path, in
Linwood. There will be games, raffles, food,
live entertainment and the highlight of the
afternoon, the arrival of Santa Claus at 2:00
P.M
“We have had casino entertainers call us and
offer to stop by at our event to help out for
this worthy cause,” said Michelle Riordan.
“It’s often hard to think about Christmas in the
middle of the summer. But, from all accounts,
this year’s event is going to be fabulous.”
