I feel just
a little bit less confident of this pronouncement, then
I do of the Ventnor Mayor (Theresa Kelly) selection that
we've confirmed earlier.
But, we're
calling this one for Commissioner-elect Russo. He will
be the next Mayor of Longport.
Previously,
I confirmed on-air that Longport will not rotate the
position of Mayor, as was done during the past four
years.
This is a
good idea, because it was not appropriate to do it in
the first place. I know the outgoing administration
obtained a legal opinion before doing what they did in
the past. It was still wrong.
Russo
possesses 5 college degrees. He has the perfect
temperament. Simply put, he's the right man at the right
time.
Dan Lawler
, Jim Leeds, Sr. and Russo will blend very well
together.
The three
Commissioners-elect officially take office this Tuesday,
may 20, 2008.
Longport is in very good hands.
