Outgoing Atlantic County Democratic Chairman Ron Ruff is trying to go out with a political bang. 
 
Well placed sources gave confirmed that Ruff is calling for a meeting for this Monday, June 9th for the new Atkantic City Democratic Committee to meet and select a new Chairman. 
 
Ruff is planning on holding the meeting at Local 54, which continues to fuel speculation as to Bob McDevitt's direct involvement in this. 
 
Ruff is really making quite a power play attempt here. Especially considering he gave no Atlantic City candidates the party line on the ballot. 
 
Ruff's excuse for calling this meeting is because he says he can't reach Scott Evans. 
 
I don't believe this for one second. Evans can be reached. Several well placed sources have confirmed to me that Evans, the Chairman will be calling for the meeting at a time and location of his choosing in the very near future. 
 
Ruff has no authority to step in at this time. 
 
There are some political forces presently making a very aggressive power play in Atlantic City. They all have one thing in common. They don't support Mayor Langford.
