Jim
McGettigan recently told a gathering of the
NAACP that he (Atlantic County Sheriff's Department)
was a DARE OFFICER.
This is
NOT TRUE!
It is a
case study into the pathological behavior exhibited
by McGettigan.
Lt.
Steve Caldwell tried to implement a DARE Officer
structure within the Sheriff's Department, but,
McGettigan actually made a conscience decision to
stop this from happening.
This is
one of the biggest problems I have with Jim
McGettigan. How dare (no pun intended) someone like
McGettigan doing everything within his power to stop
a great program from happening. Then, a few weeks
before an election, he takes public credit for
something that he didn't do, and, in fact did
everything he could to stop it from happening.
A Sheriff's Officer has gone into schools and read
to students, but, they have no DARE officer or
program.
No
doubt, it is scared and desperation time for
McGettigan, who is facing a significant challenge
from 30-year law man and United States Army Special
Forces hero, Dennis Munoz.
Hopefully, McGettigan will do the honorable thing
and correct the public record about his misstatement
of the DARE program. It is indecent to take public
credit for a program you not don't have ... but, did
everything you could to make sure it wouldn't
happen.
I
DARE McGettigan to deny this! Pun intended this
time!
