"Hurley in the Morning"
INAUGURAL GOLF OPEN
ALL I
CAN SAY IS ...
WOW!
UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS!
INSTANT BREAKING NEWS
2nd
Annual "Hurley in the Morning" Golf Open is set
for
Friday,
June 19, 2009 (psst. my Birthday ... Don's, too) to be
held at The Mays Landing Golf & Country Club.
We have paid
all of our expenses in full ... and, we presently have
more than $ 21,000 on deposit
with Chuck Malamut at Merrill Lynch.
Every penny of
this effort will be donated to our three (3) worthy
organizations!
You have
exceeded my high expectations regarding what our
inaugural effort could yield.
THE
HERO CAMPAIGN FOR DESIGNATED DRIVERS
THE
JOAN FINERAN NURSING SCHOLARSHIP FUND
THE
STANLEY HOLMES VILLAGE WORK TEAM
WILL ALL
RECEIVE MORE THAN $ 7,000 EACH.
I want to take
this opportunity to thank our hard-working committee for
all of your support and efforts.
Our event staff
today ... all volunteers ... were simply magnificent!
You have
helped to deliver results, which are very rare for a
first event (like ours) to achieve.
I am
overwhelmed by the total, smashing success that was our
Inaugural event.
A most sincere
THANK YOU to all of our generous
sponsors.
The weather was
perfect. The attendees were of the highest caliber. The
golf course was in perfect condition. The food,
breakfast and lunch was absolutely delicious ... and,
the variety was outstanding.
My thanks and
appreciation to Jim Fraser, Doug Fraser, Bob
Herman, Dave Weinberger, Chef Rick and the
entire team at The Mays Landing Golf & Country Club.
They were
tremendous in every way. The greatest partners we
could ever ask for.
A special
thanks to Kenny Jeremiah for donating his valuable time
to perform for all of us. Kenny also won the 50-50
drawing and donated more than $ 350 back to our charity
event. He is a very special friend.
Our silent
Auction was a $ 4,070 knockout.
We have about $
2,000-$2,500 to still collect.
So, the fact
remains, that our event will grow beyond the present net
result of
$ 21,000.
When I arrived
home tonight, there was another
$ 200 check
waiting for us. Even after the event ended, the money is
still pouring in.
We are all
blessed to know and respect each other. Please accept my
thanks and appreciation for all of the time, energy and
effort you put in to make our event a success.
I am so pleased
with every aspect of this event, that I have al;ready
committed to doing it again next year ... even the date
is set ... for Friday, June 19, 2009.
Mark the
day/date down, please.
Thank you,
Harry
