The
following is a Public Service Announcement
Issued by
the
Egg Harbor
Township Veterans’ Advisory Board
2009
Memorial Day Parade Committee
There
are remembrance days such as this for our
fallen veterans; we as a nation set aside to
praise and ponder them on this day, called
Memorial Day. “A nation reveals itself
not only by the men it produces but also by
the men it honors, the men it remembers.”--John
F. Kennedy.
Let
us gather together to remember and honor
those of us that have passed before in the
fields of battle from our all too many
conflicts from the greatest generation to
the latest generation.
On
Monday, May 25, 2008 we will begin promptly
at 10:00 AM starting the Memorial Day parade
on North Mt. Airy down Zion Road to Ocean
Heights Avenue then to Veteran’s Memorial
Park.
There
we plan the following; Flag raising ceremony
and the song “God Bless America” and “Proud
to be an American”, the laying of a wreath
and Taps and a brief commentary by a
distinguished speaker the 177th
own Lt. Col Michael Love.
If you and or your organization would like
to participate, please do not hesitate to
contact Memorial Day Parade Committee member
Bryan Roscoe at 609/788-8930 or cell phone
609/464-0124.
