County Freeholder Alisa Cooper Joins the Robins’ Nest Board
of Directors
Glassboro, NJ, July 31, 2008 –
Robins’ Nest Children’s
Services announced today that Freeholder Alisa Cooper has
joined the Board of Directors. Freeholder Cooper is a
lifelong Atlantic County resident and a music educator in
Egg Harbor Township School District. Miss Cooper is the
owner of “Alisa Cooper Orchestras” a music and entertainment
agency.
Freeholder
Cooper stated, “I am honored to become a member of an agency
that has made such a big difference in the lives of so many
people. As a caring society, we must do all we can to
provide children with a safe and supportive environment if
they are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Robins'
Nest provides a wide range of support and services, and we
are very fortunate to have them here in Atlantic County.”
Founded in
1968 Robins' Nest established the first Group Home for girls
in the state of New Jersey. Over their 40 year history the
agency has grown into a multi-faceted organization serving
over 4800 children in the counties of the southern region.
Robins’ Nest provides solutions to the complex problems of
families. The scope of services includes home-based
treatment, family preservation services, permanency services
to foster children, primary child abuse prevention,
supportive counseling to foster and adoptive families and
independent living services. Currently the agency
administers 13 in-home treatment programs in Atlantic County
for foster and adoption children and their families.

background in pursuing issues that are aimed at improving
the well being of children and families and has
distinguished herself as a compassionate and respected
leader in Southern New Jersey. Her presence on the Board is
further testimony of Robins' Nest commitment to providing an
array of services to the residents of Atlantic County,”
stated Executive Director Anthony DiFabio.
