Conservative Talk Show Host Harry Hurley Endorses
the Candidacy Of Ocean
City GOP Leader John McCann for Cape May County
Freeholder
As popular conservative talk show host Harry
Hurley said this morning on
his radio show, “This is breaking news”.
“Today I am endorsing the
candidacy of John McCann for the office of Cape May
County Freeholder”. said Harry Hurley. “I observed
John McCann as a candidate for the New Jersey
Assembly in 2009 and was impressed with his honesty
and hard work” Hurley said.
Hurley continued, “John McCann conducted himself
as a gentleman at all
times, including his impressive concession
speech, which was humble and
without bitterness. “ “I remember thinking that we
were seeing the beginning of
a career in public service of someone who would
quickly become a rising
star”, he said.
On the Hurley in the morning show today McCann was
asked if he would
accept the vote of the Cape May County GOP
Committee or would he run in a
primary if he was not successful. McCann’s
answer was clear that he would not
mount a primary challenge against the CMCRRO
preference vote.
“If I am not successful in obtaining the GOP
County Line, I have given my
word that I will support the candidates chosen by
the process” said McCann
in the interview.
McCann cited his knowledge of small business
issues and his desire to
represent Ocean City at the county level as the
basis for his decision to
enter the endorsement process at this time.
“I enjoyed the campaign process in 2009 and
learned so much .” said
McCann. “I believed then and I believe now that
small business is the economic
engine that drives the economy in Cape May
County.”
McCann continued, “I look forward to the
opportunity to bring a fresh
outlook to the Freeholder Board.” “Freeholder Director
Dan Beyel has a
reputation as a hawk on the budget.“ “I want to
join his team and continue that
watchdog legacy. “McCann said.
“Together we will be looking out for the taxpayers
and small business
owners”. said McCann.
