POISED TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING APPOINTMENTS
ON
JANUARY 1, 2009

confirmation and can reveal the following:
The position of
Under Sheriff will be filled by Police Capt. Ted
Kammer, who will retire from Egg Harbor
Township Police Department after 29 years of honorable
service. Kammer is one of the most decent, ethical and
talented law professionals in Atlantic County. He will
be a huge asset for Balles.
Lt.
Steve Caldwell, a 24 year veteran of the
Atlantic County Sheriff Office will also be promoted to
Under Sheriff.
Sgt.
Clifton Sudler will become Chief Sheriff
Officer. Sudler is a veteran of the Atlantic County
Sheriff Office, who was recently assigned to the
Fugitive Unit.
Former Marine
Capt. Stephan L. Jackson will be
the Confidential Aide to Sheriff Balles.
All will be
sworn in on January 1, 2009 at Pleasantville High School
at 2:00 p.m.
HarryHurley.com has also learned and
confirmed that the most Honorable Mayor Ralph Peterson
will deliver the oath of office to Sheriff Balles.
Peterson has
sworn in Balles to each office he has held for the past
23 years.
There will be a
reception at the Clarion Hotel West, in Egg Harbor
Township following the ceremony.
