8-9-10
First Reported by Harry Hurley
By a 3-3 vote, the AC Board of
Education voted down Sara Levinson at Special Meeting.
Three Board Members were absent.
Levinson was merely up for basic,
routine approval for a math teacher position at Sovereign
Avenue School.
Levinson needed 5 votes tonight to
be hired.
Board Member Nynel Langford
attempted to change her vote from the previous meeting.
However, one Board Member voted against her.
Somehow a ruling was made that in
order for Langford to change her vote, The Board had to
unanimously approve it.
No way. That's not how it works.
I am strongly urging Superintendent
Fred Nickles to resubmit Levinson at the next regular
meeting when hopefully all Board Members will be present.
The actions of some if the AC Board
Members are worse then the Craig Callaway era.
Levinson possesses double
certification and has earned the difficult math
certification.
This could open the City to an
enormous law suit. These Board Members are not permitted to
reject a recommended, qualified candidate in this manner.
I have gave also learned from
multiple sources that a very nasty Executive Session took
place regarding this matter.
