FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE MANDI
LOVE WITHDRAWS FROM MAYOR RACE
Atlantic City – August 6, 2009 - Mandi Love,
independent candidate in the race for Mayor
of Atlantic City has announced she is
withdrawing from the race.
Ms. Love said, “I firmly believe I am the
right person for the job. A person who can
bring the citizens of Atlantic City the kind
of government they need and the benefits
they deserve. However, there are the
realities. In just the short time I have
been in the campaign, I have learned a great
deal about the politics and all the
underlying relationships. One of the most
important lessons is very clear; you must
not compromise your ethics and moral
standards even when it means forming
coalitions that might propel you into
office.
I
have learned that my altruistic and
humanitarian visions cannot yet be
appreciated in this type of environment.
Ms. Love continued; “I will be devoting my
energies, my experience, my educational
background and my love for this city to help
restore good government for the citizens of
Atlantic City . It would be nice to be
mayor to do these things but you can do it
in other ways too.
I thank God, my family,
friends, The (Angela)
Crockett Agency, Anthony Pitts, John
Hoffmann and Terrance Alladin for their
unwavering support and the people of
Atlantic City…so many of whom I have come to
know…they are the best. And please
remember, this same election will be
happening in four more years.”
