ATLANTIC CITY MAYOR LORENZO LANGFORD WILL RUN
AS AN INDEPENDENT AGAINST
SENATOR JIM WHELOAN AND ASSEMBLYMAN VINCE
POLISTINA
Harry Hurley is reporting that Atlantic City
Mayor Lorenzo Langford will
enter the General Primary Election as an Independent
candidate for the New
Jersey Senate in District 2.
Whelan ran as an Independent candidate against
Langford for Mayor of
Atlantic City back in 2001. Langford won that
election by a wide margin against
then incumbent Mayor Whelan.
Langford appears poised to return the favor
and will run as an Independent
candidate in the fall campaign.
Langford will be providing "Hurley in the
Morning" with an exclusive when
he makes his decision official - one way or
the other.
"Hurley in the Morning" is confidently
projecting that Langford will be a
candidate for the New Jerrsey Senate.
This will tremendously benefit Polistina, who
stands to gain the most by a
Langford independent candidacy.
