In 1996 I approached the Galloway school district and Greater Egg Harbor
regional school district. I inquired to the possibility of forming one
kindergarten thru 12 (K-12) school district. K-12 is a better form of
educational structure and over 10 million tax dollars would have been saved over
14 years. Presently, Galloway municipal government and Galloways two school
districts are laying off over 150 employees. Taxes are skyrocketing. A K-12
district will elimanate one superintendent, assistant superintendent, attorney,
supervisor of special education, director of maintenance ETC. The list of high
paying jobs with benefits elimanated is endless. In 2009 I approached
Galloways superintendent regarding a K-12 school district. I was told Galloway
school district is partaking in a study to determine if a study should be done
for a K-12 Galloway district. This is not a misprint. The school districts are
embarking on a study to see if a study should be done. The taxpayers of Galloway
can not wait. We demand lower taxes now. The custodians, teachers, clerks ,
laborers, secretaries ETC deserve to know waste will be cut at the top I
request Gallloways Mayor Hartmen calls an emergency meeting with our two
districts superintendents to expedite the process. The time to act is now.
