THE ATLANTIC CITY PRESS VENDETTA
AGAINST LANGFORD & MARSH ...
AND, IT GOES BEYOND JUST THE LOCAL PRESS
The Atlantic City Press has viciously and
brutally attacked Mayor Lorenzo Langford and
Atlantic City Council President William "Spedy
Marsh" for too many years to count.
Their regular attacks include: Repetitive
attack articles whereby they recast the same
story ... again, and again, and again.
Whenever possible they include very detailed
timeline graphs, to make their case look
nefarious and disturbing.
All the while, the real story is either
completely omitted, or, dramatically
under-reported.
Time for a little truth in broadcasting:
First, make no mistake about it, Langford
and Marsh were retaliated against by Jim
Whelan, a political scoundrel of the lowest
order. This fact is not, nor ever has been
in dispute. What the local media has
skillfully managed to do is to change the
subject.
They turned Langford and Marsh's clear
victim status, into a side story about the
process by which they handled the settlement
issue of their worthy and demonstrated case.
For Marsh's part, he has ben ridiculed and
down right emasculated by the vicious
Atlantic City Press. Marsh wasn't even a
member of city council when his settlement
was reached.
The only mistake Langford and Marsh made is
that they and their attorneys were entitled
to more than $ 1-million dollars. They
should have never, ever agreed to a second
settlement offer of less money ($ 850,000).
had they taken the bigger award, the present
controversy would have never arisen.
Regarding the obvious bias of The Atlantic
City Press whenever it comes to anything
"Langhford" I point you to today's example.
Please note that there is a timeline that
usually is reserved for some kind of serial
killer spree.
However, note that when The Atlantic City
Press finally admits after all these years
that Langford and Marsh did receive a larger
award by the siting Jim Whelan City Council
... The Atlantic City Press doesn't have the
date this took place. They only can report
that it occurred in "December, 2001."
Every other point in their elaborate
timeline has the exact month, date and year
the event occurred. Except for the date that
Langford and Marsh were awarded more than $
1-million dollars by the Whelan City
Council, which fully recognized that Whelan
had retaliated against Langford and Marsh.
The reason The Atlantic City Press doesn't
have this date, is because this date and
crucial event has never ben a part of their
repeated harrassment of Langford and Marsh.
They don't want to know about this
date. It's one of the oddest things I've
ever seen in a supposedly legitimate
timeline story.
It is revealing, yet, most people won't even
catch this.
The New Jersey Supreme Court handed down a
very unjust decision. One that didn't take
into account the hundreds of thousands of
dollars paid to lawyers, and the six figures
in state and federal taxes.
Somehow, the state's high court believed it
was just to bring all the weight to bear on
this on just Langford and Marsh.
The whole thing is a disgrace. This is
America. And, in America, victims should not
be victimized a second time by the system.
In this case, that's exactly what has
happened to Langford and Marsh.
For her part in this, Judge Val Armstrong
has been very fair in trying to craft a
remedy for repayment, that reflects the
reality of the true facts ... and, not the
political myths.
A proper repayment schedule should take into
account, the monies paid to the lawyers and
the taxes paid. Anything short of this, is
blatantly unfair.
Addtionally, Langford and Marsh should be
granted access to the federal courts in
order to purpose the legitimate merits of
their case, which had been readily
established ... and, ultimately led to a
fair and just settlement.
the only complicating issues here were:
That Langford became Mayor and Marsh a
member of City Council.
And, the supreme dirty politics. This was
demonstrated as recently as yesterday when
New Jersey office of Government integrity
staffer Ron Epstein threw in a bogus
"criminal intent" comment at yesterday's
hearing. He embarrassed himself and the
state with this dirty circus stunt.
