The PFCD is committed to raising awareness, particularly among elected officials and opinion leaders, of policies and practices that save lives and reduce health costs through more effective prevention and management of chronic disease. New Jersey is the most recent state to launch a PFCD chapter, which will urge our state's leadership to place chronic disease at the center of the health care debate. More than 80 of the state's most influential labor, community, faith, business, and health and patient advocacy organizations have already joined the effort in New Jersey.
