TUE JAN 27 2009 ..WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7
AM EST WEDNESDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT
HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW SLEET
AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST
WEDNESDAY. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO LEAVE AN INCH OR TWO OF
ACCUMULATION THIS MORNING BEFORE BECOMING LIGHT AND
INTERMITTENT THIS AFTERNOON. HOWEVER, THE SNOW SHOULD
REDEVELOP THIS EVENING THEN CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN AND
SLEET AFTER MIDNIGHT AND FINALLY TO RAIN EARLY WEDNESDAY
MORNING. THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BE 1 TO
3 INCHES. THE HIGHEST SNOW AMOUNTS SHOULD BE INLAND WITH THE
LESSER AMOUNTS ALONG THE COAST. ALSO A COATING OF ICE IS
POSSIBLE FROM THE FREEZING RAIN. SINCE THE GROUND IS FROZEN,
ANY SNOW THAT FALLS WILL ACCUMULATE AND ROADS WILL BECOME
SLIPPERY QUITE RAPIDLY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT
PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL
DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED
VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. $$ RNS
